Stored securely in your CAD Pro library — only you can see these.
When a shop calls, texts your Quo number, or messages you in the portal, CAD Pro reads the conversation and drafts an appointment here for you to approve — so you never schedule while driving. Nothing is booked until you tap Approve.
Draft from notes — paste a text or type what the shop said
Your own cloning reference — which tool clones which module, per vehicle. Add an entry after every clone so you build a database from your real work instead of hunting across sites. Always confirm against the tool's own coverage before you cut — a wrong clone bricks a module.
⚙ Select your tool — pick one to see the modules it covers
⌕ VIN lookup — decode a car, see every module you can clone on it

STRIPE PAYOUTS → QUICKBOOKS
Checking never changes anything — it only shows what each payout contains. Posting creates the deposit.

Data & Tools
Back up your full database (jobs, customers, invoices, knowledge base) to a file regularly. Tax report exports all paid jobs for the year as a CSV for your accountant.
Supabase
Google Calendar
One-way sync: saving a job with a date & time adds it to your Google Calendar; editing updates it; deleting removes it. Your Google keys live securely in Supabase (the push-to-calendar function) — nothing to enter here. Just flip this on once that's set up.
Import personal appointments from Google
Pulls your personal appointments (Ed tattoo, Edy, dermatologist, etc.) FROM Google Calendar into CAD Pro so they show on your schedule. One-way — it never changes your Google Calendar, never touches your jobs, and won't overwrite your days-off. Run it again anytime to pick up new ones.
Connect your Google account (full access)
The basic import can't see events Google auto-creates from your Gmail (e.g. tattoo confirmations, tickets). Connect your Google account once and the import will pull everything, including those. Read-only — it never changes your Google Calendar.
Google Reviews
This is pre-selected when you send an invoice or review — you can still change it each time. The automatic paid-review uses this. (Texting must be on, and the customer needs a Cell/Mobile number.)
When a job is marked paid, the customer gets a thank-you with your Google review link, sent by your default method below. Sends once per job. Requires the review link above. Get your link from your Google Business Profile → Ask for reviews.
Customer Portal
One email per estimate, to the addresses on the job and the shop's record: it's approved, you'll reach out to schedule, and they'll get another email with the date and time window once it's scheduled. Not sent for “Approved by phone”. You pick the day with Make Appointment.
When you save a job for a shop that isn't signed up on the portal yet, CAD Pro emails them a sign-up invite — a separate email from the appointment confirmation, so you never have to remember to send it. Sends once per shop, by email only, and never to a shop that's already on the portal or already been invited. Existing shops aren't blasted — only ones you book going forward.
Portal banners
Optional messages for the customer portal (e.g. “Have a great weekend”). Closed-day banners from the calendar still show on their own — these are extras you can turn on/off anytime.
Optional — leave blank to show whenever the banner is active.
Automatic invoice payments
Shops that saved a card and/or turned on monthly auto-pay in the customer portal. You can turn auto-pay off for a shop (stops automatic charging). Shops turn it back on themselves — CAD Pro never enrolls a card for them.

Payments (Stripe)
Create a payment link at stripe.com → Payment Links. When you send a payment request, the invoice amount is appended to the link automatically.
On My Way — Message Templates
Company Info
Where the end-of-day recap text is sent. Needs Text Messaging on.
Tax is applied to parts only — labor/programming is not taxed.
How often an overdue invoice is chased by email. Sent automatically by the server every business day (Mon–Fri, 8 AM Phoenix) once it's past due; stops after 60 days. You can also send one anytime with "Send Payment Reminder" on the invoice.
Text Messaging
Texting runs through Quo (formerly OpenPhone). Your API key lives in Supabase, never in this app.

Before this works: deploy the send-sms edge function and add the secrets QUO_API_KEY and QUO_FROM (your Quo number in +1XXXXXXXXXX form) — see EDGE_FUNCTIONS.md.

Text only — Quo's API doesn't support photo/MMS. Only text customers who gave you the number for that purpose, and honour STOP replies in your Quo inbox.
Diagnostic Budgets
A budget the customer authorizes up front covering analysis, testing and repair. You work inside it without stopping to call for approval on every step; if the job is going to exceed it you stop and ask for a new authorization. If it comes in under, they pay only for the work actually performed.
Amount is a ceiling, not a charge — it is never added to the invoice.

PartPart # Qty Your cost ($) Unit ($) Total
Your cost is for your eyes only — it never appears on the invoice, the PDF, or the portal. Leave it blank and the part just won't count toward margin.
Module Sold & Warranty
For when you sold the module. This is not a line item and is never taxed or billed — it just records the warranty and (when the box above is on) prints a short warranty note on the invoice. The warranty clock starts when the job is completed, and the job shows up in the Warranties screen. Blank days = no warranty (e.g. a used module sold as-is).

Parts$0.00
Discount-$0.00
Tax (0%)$0.00
TOTAL$0.00
The ceiling the customer authorizes for analysis, testing and repair — not a charge. Bill the actual work; stop and re-authorize before exceeding it. Edit budgets in Settings.
The customer cannot authorize or be scheduled until the estimate is paid. Off by default — an ordinary estimate isn't a bill, so no payment button appears. Ticks itself for shops marked "Payment required up front".
Draws down an account credit you owe this shop (e.g. a bricked-module make-good). Comes off the total and prints on the invoice with the remaining balance. Set the shop's total credit in their customer record.
Photos & Documents
Photos & PDFs attach to this job and the invoice. Stored in Supabase.

Scan VIN
Fit the whole VIN in the box — sideways is fine — then tap Capture
Capture reads the barcode from any angle, or reads the printed 17 characters when there's no scannable barcode (GM/dealer labels). It also auto-scans while you aim.

Import Customers
Import a customer list (CSV):
Works with a Housecall Pro export or any CSV with columns like Name, Company, Phone, Email, Address, City, State.
Existing shops are updated (missing info filled in) — no duplicates.

Import Past Jobs
Bring in years of past invoices so your reports show the full picture.
Export from QuickBooks (Reports → Invoice List or Sales by Customer Detail → Export to CSV) or Housecall Pro (job/invoice export). Any CSV works if it has a date, a customer/shop, and an amount column.
Optional columns picked up automatically: invoice #, email, vehicle, description.

Advanced Search
Auto-Attach Health Reports
Configure an email address or folder path where health/scan reports are stored. When you open a job, CAD Pro will automatically search for reports matching the last 6 of the VIN and attach them.
Emails with matching VIN in subject/body will be auto-attached
Folder is scanned for files containing last 6 of VIN in filename
How it works: When you create or open a job, the system checks the monitored email inbox (via Supabase Edge Function) and the configured folders for any files matching the last 6 digits of the VIN. Matches are automatically attached to the job and included in the invoice PDF.
